BIBLE IN A BOX
Nine Bible in a Box resources were provided for the
Preschool again this school year. Beginning in mid-September,
a box will be sent home with one family from each class
to be used over the weekend. Each box contains a Bible
story board book, 2 Christian paperback story books,
a Veggie Tales® video, a game, crayons and coloring
pages. When the children return the box they are asked
to provide a coloring page to be displayed in the entry
downstairs.
MITE/Mission Project Update:
 Kansas
District LWML Mission projects #3 - #5 have been PAID
IN FULL! The three projects, Christian Literature for
China, Bethesda Lutheran Home & Services (Bible
study curricula for developmentally disabled) and Scholarships
for God’s Little Saints Preschool in Atwood, KS)
totaled $10,500. The current project is $4500 for Team
China, Macau which will support the Concordia English
Center there.
UPCOMING KANSAS DISTRICT LWML CONVENTION
Beautiful Savior's LWML - Lutheran Women in Mission
meet for their biennial District (state) convention
April 21st - 23rd in Salina, Kansas. Kim Burdett,
Tiffany Harkins & Debbie Wallace will be serving
as our delegates, with Eden Keefe & Marian Schulteis
also attending. Tiffany will also be participating
in the Young Women's Representative program offered
at convention.
Thank you to those who have contributed to the delegate
fund. We currently have $345, which covers the registration
fee of $70 per delegate ($210 total) and $135 toward
hotel costs. If you desire you can still contribute
by placing your check made out to "LWML"
in mailbox #96 with "delegate fund" in the
memo portion.
Delegates vote on election of officers, mission projects,
God's Gracious Gift Fund and convention business.
Thanks to everyone who returned their votes for mission
projects and GGGF! As of Palm Sunday I had 22 ballots
marked and returned. You can still return a ballot
through Easter Sunday. After that I will tally them
and give our delegates the results prior to convention.
